Follow this strategy when writing your GED Essay: Start by reading both of the passages. Make sure you understand the issue and the position that each passage is taking.
Try to ignore your own personal feelings on the topic as you read. Ultimately, your job is to explain why one of the sides is better supported; it is fine to completely disagree with the side you defend, so long as you adequately support your stance.
